This beautiful experiment, very likely the only 6-year reserve sotol in existence today, was started by the late master sotolero Don Celso. Our small batch spirit presents with extracted flavors of vanilla, clove, and Christmas Spice. In total there were 1,000 liters made, the first allocation of 450 bottles is scheduled for release in early 2022. Los Magos Sotol 6 Year Reserva is only available for purchase online or in a small selection of premium bar programs to be announced. This expression, like the entire Los Magos Spirits line, is made from 100% Sotol, without any additives and from sotol sourced ethically and sustainably from the Chihuahuan desert.

A partnership gone right, unique and special in their own right when coupled you have a completely new experience. Enjoy a celebrated release from the masters at WhistlePig, Sasquatch Sighting #7, this sipping rye was aged in non-other than Los Magos Sotol barrels, barrels that are seldom seen in the world. A successful experiment that resulted in sharp, herbal notes that emerge in this whiskey’s nose, followed by generous black pepper and powdery cardamon that resolve with purpose across the palate. Stay alert during the finish for a subtle callout to freshly harvested grain. The hit to the nose is light and spicy with alcohol warmth and citrus rind while that palate will experience distinct grassy notes which melt into an almost lemon-drop like citrus sweetness, which is kept in check by oak toastiness and notes of crushed black pepper. Taste them as a pair and examine the complexity of these interesting bedfellows.
